The LP Tunes replacement for the Stanton D81 II-S needle stylus is used with the Stanton 881 MKII-S phono cartridge. The stylus features a highly polished Shibata diamond (similar to the Stereohedron II) bonded to a thin-wall alloy tube cantilever for natural sound quality and superior tracing of record grooves. Special Notes
(1) The cartridge needs to be aligned and set-up properly using an alignment protractor. Due to its special ability to reveal detail, if the cartridge is improperly aligned, you will hear distortion.

The genuine Stanton D-71EE D71EE stylus is typically used with the Stanton L 720 EE phono cartridge and as an upgrade high fidelity stylus for the Stanton 500 (its many versions) and Pickering V-15 and XV-15 phono cartridges. The stylus features a highly polished special elliptical diamond with .0003 x .0007 inch scanning and tracing radii for precision tracing of record grooves, long playing life and vividly rich rendition of voice and music. The stylus is packaged in the original Stanton plastic cube box.

The Stanton D-827 D827 stylus is the 78 RPM stylus used with all Stanton 800 series cartridges. The Stanton 800 series cartridges include: 881S, 881E, 880S and 880E. The stylus features a 2.7 mil polished diamond designed specifically for the correct tracing of the wide grooves of 78 RPM records. It results in minimal groove wear and accurate rendition of voice and music.

A very common misconception is that you can use an LP stylus for playing 78 RPM records. This is one quick and sure way to damage the 78 RPM record grooves. To maintain the playback fidelity of your 78 record, you really need to use a stylus designed for 78 RPM records, otherwise with just a single playing, you could ruin the fidelity of the record grooves. Moreover, the LP stylus is much narrower than the 78 RPM record groove hence the tip will slide to the bottom of the groove where debris has collected for many decades. This results in extraordinarily high-surface noise.

The Stanton D5100-AL-II D5100ALII stylus is used with the Stanton 500 II, Stanton 500AL II, and other fine Stanton cartridge models. The D6800HP's spherical stylus is superb for scratching given its higher output and a sturdier suspension. In terms of construction, the D6800 HP stylus is known for its durability and design for heavy use.
