REPLACEMENT FOR STANTON D-6827 D6827 78 RPM STYLUS

The D6827 D 6827 D-6827 is the 78 RPM stylus used with all Stanton 680 series cartridges. The Stanton 680 series cartridges include: 681EEE, 681EE, 681A, 681SE, 681BPS, 680E, 680.V3, 680AL, 680EE, 680EL, 680HP, 680SL and PRO 45 cartridges. This superbly crafted specialty stylus replacement features a highly polished and precision profiled 3.0 mil diamond designed specifically for the correct tracing of the wide grooves of 78 RPM records. It results in minimal groove wear and accurate rendition of voice and music.

A very common misconception is that you can use an LP stylus for playing 78 RPM records. This is one quick and sure way to damage the 78 RPM record grooves. To maintain the playback fidelity of your 78 record, you really need to use a stylus designed for 78 RPM records, otherwise with just a single playing, you could ruin the fidelity of the record grooves. Moreover, the LP stylus is much narrower than the 78 RPM record groove hence the tip will slide to the bottom of the groove where debris has collected for many decades. This results in extraordinarily high-surface noise.

Great service!!

I haven’t receive my order yet. Still waiting

Saved a wonderful turntable and cartridge

I found a Dual CS508 ULM turntable at the local Thrift Store. It still had the AT cartridge installed utilizing the Dual 1/2" adapter. I made a simple repair but upon testing, the cartridge had no output. I removed the headshell adapter and found that "fatigue" had cause the adapter to crack causing a loss of contact with the tonearm connection. I had bought to 1/2" adapters from ebay and transferred the AT cartridge to the new adapter and mounted it back on the tonearm. The turntabled played perfectly. As a matter of protocol, I ordered a new stylus from LP Tunes that fit perfectly. Thank you for still having this stylus in stock.
