Stanton Needles / Stylus

The replacement D680 needle stylus is used with the Stanton TH 680 EE TH 680EE TH680EE phono cartridge. The stylus features a highly polished special elliptical diamond with .0003 x .0007 inch tracing radii bonded to a thin wall cantilever for long playing life, precision tracing of record grooves and very accurate reproduction of voice and music.

Special Notes (1) The cartridge needs to be aligned and set-up properly using an alignment protractor. Due to its special ability to reveal detail, if the cartridge is improperly aligned, you will hear distortion. (2) We recommend that you detach the supplied brush. It's easier to align and optimize and it delivers better sound quality.

The upgrade D6800HPE stylus by LP GEAR features a highly polished and precision profiled special elliptical diamond for long playing life, reduced record wear and excellent reproduction of recorded music. The D6800 HPE stylus is provisioned to raise the musical performance of the Stanton 680HP cartridge and other fine Stanton DJ cartridges

The color of the replacement stylus is white. With its lower output voltage of 5.0 mV compared to 8.0 mv with the original, there will be a noticeable lower volume but higher quality sound.

The replacement for the Stanton 4D-Q 4DQ needle stylus is typically used with the Stanton 780-4DQ and 780Q Quadrahedral phono cartridges. The stylus features a highly polished Vivid Line contact diamond with a r/R radii of 6/75 µm. It is mounted on a thin-wall alloy tube cantilever and extract more musical content from record grooves. It delivers very high resolution and extended palette of colorful detail, harmonics and micro dynamics. With the high resolution capability of this stylus, the cartridge needs to be realigned and set-up in order to achieve optimal sound quality.
