The Denon DL-S1 moving coil phono cartridge is Denon's top of the line phono cartridge. The Denon DL-S1 cartridge offers musical accuracy that is exemplary, breathtaking and addictive. It is a standard by which other pinnacle and topflight cartridges will be compared to. If you are thinking of spending up to 100 times the cost of the Denon DL-S1 phono cartridge, it may be wise to reconsider. Musical satisfaction could be less expensive than you imagine. Features
1. Newly developed ultra fine wire combining gold and 6N copper. A newly developed ultra fine wire combining pure gold and 6N copper is used in the voltage generating coil. By combining the excellent qualities of gold and copper, the Denon DL-S1 is thus able to deliver uncompromisable and unadorned pure and clean analog sound quality. Pure music - that's what you get with the Denon DL-S1 MC phono cartridge.

2. Stable, analog reproduction via superb tracing capability. The use of a tapered cantilever, a non-magnetic coil bobbin, and a 0.07 mm micro stylus chip reduced the effective mass of its vibration system, lowered its mechanical impedance, and superbly improved its ability to trace the grooves in the record.

3. Elimination of unwanted vibrations with carefully selected materials. A ceramic frame and a highly rigid aluminum body to eliminate unwanted vibrations within the cartridge.

4. Denon's unique 2-way dumping system. The unique Denon two-way dumping system has been employed to suppress the tonal variations due to changes in room temperature and at the same time to obtain level frequency characteristics.

DENON DL-103SA DL 103SA DL103SA PHONO CARTRIDGE

The Denon DL-103SA is a special edition of the highly regarded Denon DL-103R cartridge. Both share the same specification. The wiring is made of 6N OFC cable with metallic blue fiberglass composite housing. The limited edition Denon DL-103SA offers superior resolution and sound quality way above and beyond the DL-103R. The cartridge has a smoother and fuller sound with each instrument more clearly and precisely defined in dimensional space and time. The sound stage is closer for more listening intimacy. The bass goes lower and is dynamic, full and solid. Denon states it is a dream MC cartridge - probably their cryptic way of saying it is exceptionally different and extraordinarily way beyond very good.

The Denon DL-103SA is packaged in a luxury walnut wood case. Only 2,000 pieces of this model will be manufactured. A frequency response curve of the given unit is supplied.

Considered one of the best step-up MC transformers in the world at any price, the Denon AU-S1 also continues to be affordable. Made from high rigidity, non-magnetic aluminum for isolation and non-resonance, the Left and Right channels are independent from the unit's hollow structure. Large-sized 78 perm-alloy cores are used for near zero magnetostriction and highest fidelity. The Denon AU-S1 is optimal for 3 - 40 ohms correspondence.

DENON 100TH ANNIVERSARY DL-A100 DL A100 DLA100 PHONO CARTRIDGE - LOW OUTPUT MOVING COIL

The Denon DL-A100 cartridge was developed by precisely reproducing the original engineering reference model of the high-performance Japanese standard cartridge DL-103 and elevating its performance, accuracy and musicality by using the latest tuning technologies. All of the coils are hand-wound, with more time taken for the Anniversary model.

In his Stereophile review of the Denon DL-A100 cartridge, Art Dudley found the DL-A100 to be naturally detailed without brightness and imbued with excellent musical flow. In comparison with the DL-103, his experience is that the DL-103 was tubbier in the bass region while the DL-A100 is cleaner down there; the Denon DL-A100 also offered better micro-detail dynamics and resolution. ¹

Audio Technica's VM740ML phono cartridge features a MicroLine stylus which enables extremely accurate groove tracking. The VM740ML is furnished with a die-cast aluminum alloy housing which reduces vibration and parasitic resonance distortion while adding a natural electrical shield. ● High-separation, wide response dual moving coil
The basic structure is an original MC type, with separate cylindrical coils to the left and right channels. Since power is generated independently in each of the left and right channels, this structure offers truly superior separation. If the signal from the opposite channel escapes, this can cause intermodulation distortion and have a decisive impact on audio quality and how the stereo sound spreads. The structure of this product ensures a clear and smooth sound. Additionally, the two coils have a reverse-V shape which reduces effective moving mass as seen from the stylus tip, limiting unnecessary movement of the coil and further eliminating distortion.

● VC mold limits unnecessary vibration
The VC mold that affixes the coils is made with hard synthetic resin containing potassium titanate to make it highly strong and rigid. This improvement results in a lighter product, which reduces unnecessary vibration. ● Highly rigid body suppresses resonance

The venerable reviewer found the Audio-Technica AT150ANV cartridge to be a significant step above the rest, including the Ortofon 2M Black cartridge, particularly in terms of large dynamic swings.
