The VSLC special line contact stylus cartridge is the flagship model in LP Tune's Reference Series V cartridge line – a line that harks back to the glorious days of cartridge manufacturing and record playing. The VSLC is equipped with dual magnets that are positioned to match the left and right channels in the stereo record groove for outstanding channel separation and extended frequency response. The cartridge’s ultra-lightweight special line contact stylus allows it to trace the record groove with incredible accuracy and minimum abrasion, resulting in nuanced audio reproduction, low distortion and low record wear. The Hana EL is a pleasure to own. It sounds great without being fastidious. It sounds melodious, musical, sweet and warm and slightly on the opposite side of the Denon DL-103. It deoes not deliver a myriad of detailed minutiae which could be a complaint by some who are into the trees than the forest but in term of fervor and emotion that are sometimes sacrificed in the altar of detail, it is worth the miss. Very good indeed- this HANA EL.
