The Technics SL-6 SL 6 SL6 turntable was fitted with a Panasonic Technics P-28 P28 phono cartridge and a Panasonic Technics EPS-28CS EPS28CS needle stylus. The LP Tunes EPS-28CS EPS 28CS stylus performs well with its polished 0.6 mil conical diamond tip while providing the user with long playing life and accuracy.

The color of this stylus has changed over the years. Please be sure to compare your stylus with this stylus before ordering. Do not order this stylus if it looks different than the stylus that you have.

New needle can never be a wrong move.

It works nicely, although the stylus turned out not to be the problem. I have a second turntable with a built-in pre amp that the Technics doesn't have. I bought a small pre-amp and, voila! Sound. My grandson is very happy. A new needle can only help.

The exact right stylus

I needed a stylus for a vintage Pickering. Perfect fit, great performance. Yeah for durable goods!

Sounds great, with a caveat...

As the title suggests, this stylus sounds very good. But it is lacking in the very highest registers (tinkling sleighbells, watch chimes, etc). Until it is inserted into a 66 series or one of its many clones, then that upper register comes alive. Empire made 2000s with at least 2 different electrical specs, those around 500 ohms impedance, and those around 1000 ohms. The 1000 ohms models suffer high treble loss, while the lower inductance/impedance models do not.

search for genuine ORTOFON replacement easy, order/payment a breeze, shipped quick and arrived on time. went with a genuine ORTOFON for my vintage dual changer . Just acquired a beautiful restored yamaha cr-1020 receiver; system sounded like crap so I rewired the speakers (stacked large advents). big improvement but then the highs were thin scratchy and poorly defined, hence the new stylus. now it's starting to really sound like something. i'll give you a detailed review of the stylus after I've listened to more of the records. they all sound different now.

Mom’s old cartridge is alive!!

I wanted to restore my mom’s old Shure RXT-4 (Radio Shack version of the M97ED) and this stylus is just perfect!! I never imagined how beautiful this cartridge with this stylus could sound! Warm mellow melodies for Jazz and Classical! Very well balanced!! Love it! I pair it with my Technics SL-1200Mk2 and SL-D2
