The upgrade kit for the Audio-Technica AT-PL50 AT PL50 ATPL50 turntable improves the clarity, detail, and musicality of the factory supplied unit. It comes complete with an ATN3600DLX stylus and a better belt by ViVid. The ATN3600DLX stylus uses an aluminum cantilever which enables the stylus to have a firmer grip on the record grooves thus resulting in better tonality, spatial detail and crystal clean sound. You can keep the factory installed stylus that came with the turntable as backup. Our replacement belt by ViVid provides better torque and longevity. With these improvements you'll soon be enjoying your LPs once again.

The little stylus that could..and then some!

When I got this I thought I had overspent and had just paid 150 bucks for the 70 dollar model with a stylus guard. I was hoping for the best, expecting mehh, and got the closest to sonic nirvana I've yet to experience! I am simply a music lover, I haven't the experience or the budget to be an audiophile , but wow this little cartridge can sing! I have the carbon fidelity, the nss divine, this is noticeably better even to my untrained ears. If you are using the at3600 cartridge, strongly consider this stylus before you change to a different cartridge. It really is that good!

Stylus fit, the weight was light i ended up having to use a similar stylus that was heavier and for an Emerson.
The lighter stylus allowed the arm to float across the album.

Arrived well packed although I was concerned that it didn’t have the little cover over the needle that a new stylus often has. But once installed it sounded good!

If you have an OM body, base or Super, you owe it to yourself to get this stylus. It plays WAY above its price range! I am still breaking it in, but wow! On new vinyl it is dead quiet. No pops, background noise or hisses. Plays music from top to bottom without me missing any midrange.
I have 3 different versions of these, shure n75ed2, at 3600l, now this ortofon version which could become my favorite. Buy these and get a good phono stage ( I am using an old nad 7140) and stop worrying about expensive cartridges! An absolute jem!
