STYLUS FOR STANTON 881S CARTRIDGE

The replacement for the Stanton D81S needle stylus is used with the Stanton 881S phono cartridge. The stylus features a highly polished Vivid Line diamond bonded to a thin-wall Zualum tube cantilever for natural sound quality and superior tracing of record grooves. It results in superb accuracy and faithful reproduction of recorded voice, music and complex harmonic detail. The color of stylus may vary.

Special Notes
(1) The cartridge needs to be aligned and set-up properly using an alignment protractor. Due to its special ability to reveal detail, if the cartridge is improperly aligned, you will hear distortion.

(2) We recommend that you detach the supplied brush. It's easier to align and optimize and it delivers better sound quality.

Stanton 881 vivid line stylus

Used on an old 881( 44 year old) mounted on SME5 tonearm sitting on Ariston RD90 deck. The stylus is flawless tracking at 1.25g with no sibilance or distortion. Open sound with razor sharp low frequencies prominent lower midrange and smooth treble .Nicely balanced left to right output phase and crosstalk . Lots of body to the music ( No Mickey mouse singers). Does not beat the 2K Black Koetsu but way better than earlier Audio Technica OC9 ,Denon 301 and overpriced mistracking Shelter501 I have owned . If you own an 881 cartridge you won't regret buying this stylus . Sound is very similar to the old Shibata stylus and very smooth and nonfatiguing. Review is based on about 50 hours of listening

Perfect.

It’s the hard to find, exact match stylus for my old JVC turntable. These guys had a replacement stylus for my original circa-1977 audiophile stereo system. I did pay for accelerated shipping, which was my choice (I don’t like it when my stereo is down!). LP Tunes had what I wanted, when I wanted it. Professional and zero drama. I’ll most certainly go to LP Tunes for my stereo equipment in the future, and I’d have no problem recommending them to others.

No thoughts I’m afraid…

New Life!

I purchased the SAS stylus for a p mount Shure 110HE cartridge for my Technics SL-M3. Before this stylus upgrade the cartridge was lifeless. With the upgrade it sounds amazing! Almost as good as my go to Cartridge which is a Technics EPC-310MC. Amazing quality and quick shipping from LP tunes

CARBON FIDELITY CFT4PSE cartridge

I have an old Onkyo turntable and not a clue what cartridge I needed. LP Tunes has great customer service! I sent some photos of what I had and they gave me two good suggestions.
