Glad to find a high quality replacement of the original Shure stylus. Have been having fun listening to favorite records- on all types of music I have tried (classical, jazz, blues) the sound is excellent, and on a test record, the tracking is also top notch.
VN-35E was exchanged (originally, incorrect ordering by me) for VNSE3HE which correctly fit/worked in my RS cartridge.
I was a bit surprised that Shure had different stem sizes in their V-15 variants.
LP Tunes customer service met my expectations in the transaction. I will consider them for future purchases.
Compared to VN35HE, it needs more tracking force for cleanest tracking of sibilants, 1.5 g (VN35HE is OK at 1.3 g). Tonally, it is closer to original Shure elliptical stylus for V15 III, still tiny bit brighter but very good overall. Slightly less good at inner grooves then Jico HE version, but better overall balance is a plus.
This stylus sounds as good as the original Shure if you want to recreate the original sound reproduction of your V15 Type III cart you must get this stylus, forget about the Swiss made ones, Jico is the best stylus manufactured for your Shure carts.
