PFANSTIEHL 771-DHE 771DHE NEEDLE STYLUS

The replacement for the Pfanstiehl 771-DHE 771DHE needle stylus is used with the Shure M97HE phono cartridge. It can also be used to upgrade the sound quality of other Shure M97 series cartridges. The stylus features a highly polished hyperelliptical diamond for excellent tracing of record grooves, long playing life and very accurate rendition of recorded voice, music and harmonics.

This ViVid Line stylus is great!

I first tried it with the brush attached. The brush does introduce soft swishing noises that are more noticable with headphones. So, as recommended, I removed the brush and readjusted the VTF to 1.25 grams. Now the sound floor is quiet, and all is well!

Fantastic Cartridge Upgrade

I bought a vintage direct drive Pioneer PL-510S that came with a 50 year old cartridge. It sounded like an AM radio. After mounting the Nagoaka 110H, the bottom filled in and a warmth I was seeking was audibly apparent. It was more than worth the investment.
