LP GEAR SHIBATA FF15XE ULTIMATE STYLUS FOR ORTOFON F, FF & VMS CARTRIDGES D15E D5E D3E NF15XEII VMX3E FF10 540-DEL 4540-DEL STYLUS

LP GEAR STYLUS FF15XE SHIBATA - what should have been the sound of the extended VMS cartridge
- Top of the line Shibata diamond stylus
- Elevates the sound quality (SQ) of the following Ortofon cartridges: all F, FF and VMS cartridges, D15E D5E D3E D20E MKII NF15XEII VMX3E FF10 540-DEL 4540-DEL Styli
- Tracking force range: 1.5-2.0g
- Recommended for following cartridges: The VMS, F, FF, M10, M15 cartridges and more. These vintage F/FF, VMS cartridges offer a transparent and more detailed, nuanced sound with better transient response and vivacity than the subsequent warmer and smoother OM and brighter current 2M series.

At LP GEAR® our philosophy runs counter to the usual convention of commerce -- planned obsolescence. We believe that products created for perfection should last a lifetime of enjoyment or much longer like the Stradivari Messiah 1716 or the Guarneri violin. After all, a cartridge lasts indefinitely!

Older than the USA — 283 years old to be exact, the Vieuxtemps Guarneri Del Gesu-1741 named for its most famous owner, the leading Belgian virtuoso and composer who esteemed it so much he wanted to be buried with it, recently became the most expensive viloin in the world, selling for an estimated $16 million. Its new owner anonymously donated the historic instrument to violinist Anne Akiko Meyers, on loan for the rest of her life. Thus, our rationale for rejuvenating the F/FF VMS cartridges with ultra high performance styli so existing and new users can continue to enjoy these treasures.

Emjoy the magnificence of the VMS40SH cartridge had there been a devout commitment to perfection. Instead they chose to replace the FF/VMS series with a new look and model name, redesigned the stylus knob to make it look sleek, and changed the sound character to rounder and warmer. This is their template (just like automobiles) to make your current seem old and obbsolete even though it actually is not.

Limited to 100 units per production, each SHIBATA FF15XE is tested, in the laboratory with precision electronic instruments and then by actual record-playing and listening, to ascertain that each meets or exceeds its specified target output voltage, cross-talk, and balance.

Life changing

I wish I was being dramatic
I didn’t want to pay for a new record player for my Billie Ellis vinyls
But I can listen to the songs clear as day now with this!! Okay, it skips sometimes as you would expect
But cheaper than getting a couple hundred dollar record player

Very nice upgrade.

I've had this for over 6 months, and I can report that it has much better bass, and treble than the original. Everything is very clean and detailed sounding. A few notable examples. I recently ordered Eva Cassidy Live Blues Alley 25th anniversary, 180gram, 45RPM. The soundstage is absolutely amazing. It is on the same level, if not surpasses MoFi Eric Clapton Unplugged SACD. My sister gifted me the soundtrack to Sinners on 180gram vinyl. I actually heard the soundtrack before I saw the movie. I didn't know vinyl could support so much bass. My room becomes fully pressurized with that soundtrack, backed by a SVS SB3000. Last would be Miles Davis Kind of Blue. I have this on 200gram 33/3RPM and MoFi SACD. I can hear tape hiss on both, and both sound very much the same. SACD wins on floor noise, but really not by much. My vinyl copy is also crazy clean sounding, but sonically sounding, they sound so close.

Feedback on Turntable Belt Purchase

We ordered a turntable belt from Japan last month and would like to share our feedback.

Although we already owned the turntable unit, we had been experiencing speed issues with belts available in Japan, which made proper playback difficult. After using your product, the speed accuracy improved significantly and resolved the issue.

As a result, we have been able to enjoy our records properly and have even started purchasing and listening to more records.

We appreciate the quality of your product. When the belt wears out in the future, we plan to purchase from you again :)

Perfect fit. Sounds great!

This ViVid Line stylus is great!

I first tried it with the brush attached. The brush does introduce soft swishing noises that are more noticable with headphones. So, as recommended, I removed the brush and readjusted the VTF to 1.25 grams. Now the sound floor is quiet, and all is well!
