I never knew how much better it could be

I have always used cheap styli, usually paying no more than $25 for some no-name thing. I have always been an audiophile, and always been bothered by certain deficiencies in the sound I was getting from records, but I always assumed it was wear, or dirt, or a poor record, and in some cases I was correct, but then through a combination of circumstances which involved the post office ruining a stylus that was in a player I bought, I ended up looking for a stylus that was a little harder to find, and ended up here, and realized that there was a huge spectrum of quality and precision in styli. I bought this one because it was in the budget and described in an appealing way. I put this in my cheap cartridge (AT101EP equivalent) and was stunned by how much better it sounded. My throwaway test record, which was in good condition but had always sounded a little off, sounded like a live concert. Doing a stylus change in the middle of a track for direct comparison showed the bass and treble were both better articulated, creating better balance with the mids, the overall volume was louder, and the feel changed from record to live. Surface noise is also dramatically quieter with this stylus and "behind" the audio instead of with it. The difference has to be heard to be believed. This is not the most expensive stylus you can buy, and I won't say it's the best, but if you're used to cheap styli, this will blow your mind. Get it!

Audio-Technica PT-300 upgrade

Recently purchased a turntable with the aforementioned cartridge installed. It sounded pretty good to me. I figured what the heck and ordered this stylus. Everything is better than the original stylus. The best way I can describe it is the soundstage is now outside the speakers. This stylus is money well spent. $80 bucks usd and this lowly cartridge is singing like a canary.

JICO replacement Empire S2000E/III stylus

New life for a classic cartridge

I really enjoy listening to albums with my Empire S2000E/III and this new JICO stylus. It gives me another experience from my normal Ortofon 2m blue cartridge. I get a better upper range definition and slightly less bass with the Empire/JICO setup, and a perfect alternative cartridge for my budget stereo!

Good job

A different brand of stylus cartridge was on my record player, which I discovered when I bought the record player brand of replacement needle, and it didn't fit. I sent photos, and they were able to identify the correct stylus. It works!

Exactly what I needed for my 70’s record player

Perfect fit - thanks

Excellent product

Have tried the replacements from the uk and all were sub standard. This one however coming in from America is a different matter. Sound quality is fantastic what a difference from British products. One drawback was delivery charges.
