JICO SUPER ANALOGUE STYLUS REPLACEMENT FOR SHURE N55E N55E/IMPROVED STYLUS

The JICO SAS replacement for the Shure N55E needle stylus is used with the Shure M55 and M44 series phono cartridges. The stylus elevates these phono cartridges to their pinnacle performance and sound quality. The SAS tips are produced using a natural octahedral single-crystal diamond with the most advanced electronic engineering technology. The cantilever is made of special aluminum alloy tube and boron for extremely efficient transmission of vibrations. Rare earth metals with excellent electromagnetic conductivity compose the magnet for the stylus.

  1. Compatible with wider and deeper grooves (Micro Groove).
The diamond tip consists of a meticulously selected natural single-crystal octahedron. Precision work on the crystal allows for a wide range of grooves. The Super Analogue Stylus can safely be used on recent records which tend to have deeper grooves and with 30-280 micron grooves opposed to the simple conventional 30-80 micron.
  2. Ultra precision thinness and configuration results in supreme sound reproduction.
The stylus tip is of optimum height and a uniformly ultra-precision finish. The Super Analogue Stylus has a curvature with a smaller radius that was impossible with the Micro Ridge Stylus. As thin as a razor blade and machined with ultra precision, the stylus tip ensures unsurpassed fidelity.
  3. Reduced distortion caused by needle abrasion.
The Super Analogue Stylus tip eliminates lateral and frontal abrasion. Since the curvature radius does not change, the stylus accurately traces without missing any delicate signals. This makes it perfect for reproducing high frequencies and wide dynamic range which require a highly precise radius for tracking the inner record grooves!
  4. Polished finish that virtually preserves your record's grooves.
World-class polishing technique is used on each stylus. This is designed to preserve the details of the record groove structure for a very long time virtually for the life of the vinyl.
  5. Extreme quality testing with emphasis on performance.
Stringent quality inspections and tests using unique and high level technology are performed on all materials and at every level from the manufacture of parts that transmit vibrations to the cartridge (the cantilever, magnet and wire) to the final assembly by skilled artisans.

Gives your M44 cartridge a shot of adrenaline!

After consistent good reviews and research into the Jico SAS line, I decided to pull the trigger and get one for my Sansui 1050E running a Shure M44E. Short story, it is my Dad’s table he bought in 1972, with that cartridge. Was running a Shure RS5T (not the original but did work well), that was also at least 40 years old with a worn suspension. Time for a new stylus. With many good aftermarket options, I really wanted something that would track inner record tracks well. Seeing the positive notes on Jico’s SAs series I thought why not?

Well, I can say the N55E SAS is worth every penny! Here are some records that track super well with inner tracks: Al Stewart-Year Of The Cat (the US Janus pressing), Boz Scaggs- We’re All Alone, and Andrea True Connection - More,More,More (song goes almost all the way to center label), all of these with no shrill vocals, crisp instruments and virtually zero distortion!

In short, spend the extra $$ and start enjoying your records again!

Awesome stylus!

The stylus arrived today, installed it and have played several tracks that some of my cartridges have problems tracking. The JICO tracks perfectly. I could not be more pleased.

Life changing

I wish I was being dramatic
I didn’t want to pay for a new record player for my Billie Ellis vinyls
But I can listen to the songs clear as day now with this!! Okay, it skips sometimes as you would expect
But cheaper than getting a couple hundred dollar record player

Very nice upgrade.

I've had this for over 6 months, and I can report that it has much better bass, and treble than the original. Everything is very clean and detailed sounding. A few notable examples. I recently ordered Eva Cassidy Live Blues Alley 25th anniversary, 180gram, 45RPM. The soundstage is absolutely amazing. It is on the same level, if not surpasses MoFi Eric Clapton Unplugged SACD. My sister gifted me the soundtrack to Sinners on 180gram vinyl. I actually heard the soundtrack before I saw the movie. I didn't know vinyl could support so much bass. My room becomes fully pressurized with that soundtrack, backed by a SVS SB3000. Last would be Miles Davis Kind of Blue. I have this on 200gram 33/3RPM and MoFi SACD. I can hear tape hiss on both, and both sound very much the same. SACD wins on floor noise, but really not by much. My vinyl copy is also crazy clean sounding, but sonically sounding, they sound so close.

Feedback on Turntable Belt Purchase

We ordered a turntable belt from Japan last month and would like to share our feedback.

Although we already owned the turntable unit, we had been experiencing speed issues with belts available in Japan, which made proper playback difficult. After using your product, the speed accuracy improved significantly and resolved the issue.

As a result, we have been able to enjoy our records properly and have even started purchasing and listening to more records.

We appreciate the quality of your product. When the belt wears out in the future, we plan to purchase from you again :)

Perfect fit. Sounds great!

This ViVid Line stylus is great!

I first tried it with the brush attached. The brush does introduce soft swishing noises that are more noticable with headphones. So, as recommended, I removed the brush and readjusted the VTF to 1.25 grams. Now the sound floor is quiet, and all is well!
