GRADO REFERENCE MASTER 1 MASTER1 PHONO CARTRIDGE 5.0mV

Ships to US only

The Grado Reference Master 1 Phono cartridge is a fixed coil design, handcrafted at Grado Labs from specially selected species of mahogany. Unlike the Grado Prestige series, the Grado Reference cartridges have a generator/stylus module that is not replaceable thus allowing a redesigned one-piece magnetic circuit and a reduction of chassis resonances. The Grado Reference phono cartridges utilize manufacturing and assembly techniques of superlative accuracy and precision. The result is virtual perfection - the finest phono cartridges in the world! To hear the celestial performance of the Grado Reference cartridges, we recommend that they be used with the finest equipment.

The Grado Reference Master 1 phono cartridge features a specially designed nude elliptical diamond mounted on a brass bushing and a modified five-piece OTL cantilever technology achieving an additional 5% tip mass reduction over the Grado Reference Platinum and Grado Reference Sonata cartridges. The coils are wound with ultra-high purity long crystal oxygen free copper wire.

New Life for Shure V15V

The Shure V15 has always been an even handed, great tracking cart. Perhaps verging on the boring, for some tastes. The JICO SAS styli retain the lush midrange, even handed presentation of the cart, but with a shot of adrenaline and perhaps a tad more revealing than the original styli. Super product!

Happy

Works a treat on my JVC quadraphonic system and despite the dreaded custom charges, it was still cheaper than modern equivalents and NOS stylus available elsewhere.

Nothing Like the Real Thing

When Shure was no longer a stylus option, and I saw JICO here n there (ahem ahem) I was suspicious, but thankfully checked the sole supplier I saw website directly, LPTunes, and got a Straight Answer ASAP to my question whether their stylus were refurbished or factory NEW, which they proved to be. Not only do my LP's play CLEARER than they did with the SHURE styluses; they actually play LOUDER! Could be Just My Imagination. Who knows?
