All Grado 78 phono cartridges have a considerable reduction in tip mass resulting in extended frequency response while tracking forces can range from 2-5 grams. The Grado 78C cartridge uses a three-piece OTL cantilever technology, oxygen free wire in the coils and a specially designed, highly polished conical/spherical 3.0 mil diamond mounted in a brass bushing.

Cheapest True Mono Cartridge around

Great cartridge which significantly reduces the surface noise of my 78s as compared to any stereo or mono strapped/ summed stereo 78 cartridge. Well worth the money. Should also accept any Grado stylus so I believe it can also be made to play 33/34 mono records with the appropriate stylus.

Shipping took longer than expected for the cost but the stylus fit and sounds great. Very pleased to have a 40+ year old Pioneer turning again and a bonus - the colour is very complimentary

Old School Audio

I've had this turntable since the 80's but hadn't used it for a while. The arm was not moving so I cleaned all of the old grease off and it worked much better, but I noticed the belt was slipping. I replaced it with one from LP Tunes, and it's working great. The belt seemed a little thinner than the old one, but it's working perfectly.
