GOLDRING 1022GX PHONO CARTRIDGE

The Goldring 1022GX phono cartridge uses the acclaimed Gyger I diamond stylus. This is a special fine-line type that offers superior tracing of record grooves thus resulting in highly dynamic, superbly articulate and exquisitely discerning sound quality at minimal surface noise. Advanced diamond tip polishing ensures excellent tracking ability and reduces record wear. The Goldring 1022GX offers outstanding performance and is considered by many listeners as one of Goldring's most acclaimed cartridges.

The Goldring 1022GX phono cartridge has a strong, one-piece molded body made from an ultra-rigid glass-reinforced polyester. All fixed parts can be held securely in place and the body can be tightly bolted to the head shell to create structural unity. Its highly efficient magnetic circuit makes for a smooth and extended frequency response. As with all Goldring cartridges, the Goldring 1022GX phono cartridge is rigorously tested at the factory to ensure optimum standards of performance and reliability.

The little stylus that could..and then some!

When I got this I thought I had overspent and had just paid 150 bucks for the 70 dollar model with a stylus guard. I was hoping for the best, expecting mehh, and got the closest to sonic nirvana I've yet to experience! I am simply a music lover, I haven't the experience or the budget to be an audiophile , but wow this little cartridge can sing! I have the carbon fidelity, the nss divine, this is noticeably better even to my untrained ears. If you are using the at3600 cartridge, strongly consider this stylus before you change to a different cartridge. It really is that good!

New Belt

Turntable belt fits perfectly as described!

Soundesign stylus Mdel 6821

Stylus fit, the weight was light i ended up having to use a similar stylus that was heavier and for an Emerson.
The lighter stylus allowed the arm to float across the album.

D51 type stylus works fine

Looks & Sounds like the Original

Arrived well packed although I was concerned that it didn’t have the little cover over the needle that a new stylus often has. But once installed it sounded good!

Thorens Replacement Belt

Belt is more robust than old belt. Highly recommended.

Giant Killer

If you have an OM body, base or Super, you owe it to yourself to get this stylus. It plays WAY above its price range! I am still breaking it in, but wow! On new vinyl it is dead quiet. No pops, background noise or hisses. Plays music from top to bottom without me missing any midrange.
I have 3 different versions of these, shure n75ed2, at 3600l, now this ortofon version which could become my favorite. Buy these and get a good phono stage ( I am using an old nad 7140) and stop worrying about expensive cartridges! An absolute jem!
