FISHER MT-870A Turntable Replacement Belt

The belt I received is wider and thicker than the one I am replacing with it. I am glad that the Fisher MT870 has its own strob and means to adjust the speed of the turntable because I had to speed up the turntable after installing the new one. So I reinstalled the older one and I had to slow the turntable down. Then I put the new one in and once again had to speed up the turntable.
There may be advantages with the stiffer belt as compared to the thiner and narrower belt.
I don't see much difference in wow and flutter between the two of them!
I have to make more measurements before I come to a decision about the new belt!
One question that comes to mind is it antistatic? Or do I have a Van de Graf machine with it? Hmmm

The turntable belt works great! My only problem is the price of shipping. 5 dollars is quite high for a small rubber belt.
