Audio Technica's VM540ML cartridge improves upon and continues the highly regarded and best-buy rated lineage of the AT440ML series.

It features a MicroLine stylus which enables extremely accurate groove tracking. Distorion is low even on the inner circumference of a record because the curvature radius of the stylus tip does not alter even if the stylus becomes worn. The VM540ML is furnished with a durable low-resonance polymer housing. The VMN40ML MicroLine nude stylus has a multilevel shape for reduced wear on the stylus and individual records.

Best phono cartridge yet!

I’ve owned dozens of phono cartridges, many of them far more expensive than the VM540ML. Honestly had this been the first phono cartridge I had purchased, I’d have no reason to look any further. You cannot go wrong with the VM540ML. It really is that good. Exceptional clarity and detail. You’ll hear music you’d never heard before on your records. The treble and bass are perfectly balanced while the midrange sings beautifully. Also the ML stylus is known to last well over 1,000 hours of playing time, whereas elliptical stylus only lasts 200-300 hours. Seriously, this is a great cartridge without peers, be it MM or MC, the VM540ML is “the best of the best”! Happy listening!

Excellent!

The AT-VM540ML is excellent! It improves on the AT-440MLb, which I have been using for the last 2 years. It has better bass, smoother highs, and truly superb tracking. If you've been using the 440 and you're wondering if it's worth it to get the 540, go for it!

JICO SAS Stylus for Shure M110HE

I’ve had several JICO SAS styluses, the first few were replacements for my Shure V15 Type V P mount, which unfortunately took a dump & I could not find a new cartridge of the same type. Went with the current NOS M110HE and was very pleased until recently & though maybe time for a new stylus. Well…what can I say. This stylus has totally brought this cartridge to a whole new level. Wish I could do an A/B comparison between the original stylus & the JICO SAS, but all I can say is I am definitely WOW’d!

all is well. great, actually

i had notified customer service on a weekend, letting them know that i had received what i thought might me a defective product. ( grado gold t4p ). they answered that sunday, and by wednesday they furnished me witha pre-paid return label. they notified me within a week , informing me that indeed, the cartridge was defective and would i like a replacement or a refund. i opted for an exact replacement. a day later, they told me that my version was out of stock and would i like an upgraded grado gold . sure i said, and in three days i received a new cartridge which performs flawlessly. the sound is really exquisite. but, my reason for this long-winde review is to let folks know that lp tunes customer service was second to none. they pais attention, and they treated the customer right. you can't ask for more from a distributor. i would not hesitate to do business with them in the future. highly recommended.
