A connoisseur's headphones for showing and listening, the ATH-ESW9 is designed to be seen like a gem that it is, and enjoyed for listening. Predominantly black and brown, with a reddish-brown, wooden exterior, it exudes quiet (not bombastic) elegance. A black leather material covers the fitted padding. The bottom of the ear cups have small cord guards that are minimally rigid.

Inside the package are two lovelies: the headphones themselves, and a lamb skin pouch.

Designed for portability, the earcups fit over the ears just fine, unlike the average over-the-ears which seem gargantuan to lug and carry.

The headband is very plush and easy on the head. A slight outward adjustment of the earcups may be needed for long-term use.
