STYLUS FOR KENWOOD KP-1022 KP 1022 KP1022 TURNTABLE

The Kenwood KP-1022 KP 1022 KP1022 turntable was fitted with a Kenwood V-39 MKII V39 MKII phono cartridge and a Kenwood N-39 MKII N39 MKII needle stylus. A photo of the stylus replacement is supplied above. The stylus features a highly polished conical diamond for long playing life and good rendition of voice and music. The color of the stylus varies. Please verify and use this as a guide only since the cartridge and stylus may have been changed through the years.

If the stylus above differs from what you have, then it means you no longer have the fitted cartridge. For us to assist you further, we need the cartridge brand and model number. This info is usually inscribed on the cartridge and stylus.

The NSS/c LP Tunes N39MKII stylus is designed to replace and supersede the performance of the original Kenwood N39MKII stylus.

The conical stylus has been long looked down on and disparaged as the ghetto stylus. We, like Art Dudley of Stereophile, like the sound quality of conical tip styli: It offers a raw and simple sound quality. " "It emphasizes musical content over air, allowing instruments and voices to sound more substantial, and music to sound, overall, less fussy than with other tip types." It exposes the beauty of simplicity above complexity..

The Nude Schwarz stylus (NSS) raises the performance of conicals and all stylus tip types even further! For over half a century, the traditional way to craft a stylus, which carries on still today, is to bond the stylus tip to a crown (metal shank) that in turn is bonded to the cantilever. The additional mass, and a different material element in between the diamond tip and cantilever, cause some loss of nuance in transmitting groove modulation from the tip to the cantilever. With the Schwarz edition, a nude diamond stylus (a whole diamond) is inserted, fastened and/or glued directly to the cantilever - banishing the need for the crown (metal shank).
