Designed and engineered to achieve outstanding performance way beyond the expectations of a product at this price point. (The Rega RP1 has already won the 2010 What HIFI Awards as The Best Turntable up to 300.)
Excellent build quality, reliability and ease of use combine to make a product which will offer a lifetime of musical enjoyment. Omitting all the usual gimmicks allows us to concentrate the manufacturing costs on the high quality parts necessary to reproduce records accurately.
Using a manual speed change rather than an automatic mechanism, eliminates speed inconsistencies and reduces wear of the drive belt. The money saved is spent across the design including a new hand assembled RB101 tonearm, precision main bearing, phenolic resin platter and a high quality low vibration motor which would normally be used on a turntable costing two or three times the amount.
The minimalist design of the Rega RP1 and the use of extremely high quality components ensure that this turntable will last for many years. The RP1 is the first in a new generation of Rega turntables offering far greater performance than their predecessors.
We are confident the performance of this amazing new product will impress you. Rest assured the only thing entry level about the RP1 is the price !
The all new completely British-made Rega RP1 features:
- Brand new Rega RB101 tonearm.
- Precision main bearing and sub-platter assembly.
- High quailty low vibration motor.
- All new Phenolic resin flywheel effect platter for excellent speed stability.
- Ortofon OM5e moving magnet cartridge.
- Rega sound quality at an unrivalled price.

VPI Superscoutmaster turntable with JMW-9 Signature tonearm (FREE US mainland Ground S&H)
After 27 years in the turntable business and the release of the VPI HR-X, Harry Weisfeld thought that they had seen and done everything. Then one day while listening to the VPI Scoutmaster and enjoying its glorious sound quality, a question popped into Harry Weisfeld's head: "What could we do to make it better?" Thus came the epiphany. The end result was to cross the VPI Scoutmaster and the HR-X thereby producing the VPI SuperScoutmaster. The Super Scoutmaster uses the most accurate motor drive in the business, the HR-X system. The massive flywheel and dual motor drive controlled by the revolutionary SDS power supply gives the smoothest rotation in the business. You can almost say that if your expensive table doesn't have a flywheel driving it, why is it so expensive?
The finishing touches are the specially designed, totally non-resonant laminated chassis and the periphery ring clamp. The ring clamp lowers warp induced speed variaions to near zero making the combination of HR-X flywheel drive and perfectly level record sound like a master tape.
Before you purchase any expensive table you must compare the facts. Does it have a flywheel drive? Does it have a warp flattening system? Does it have an inverted bearing running on a silent Teflon surface? Does the speed control come from a state of he art power supply? The VPI Super Scountmaster turntable has all of these and more.
See Harry Pearson’s rave review in the Dec/Jan 2005 issue of The Absolute Sound.
“Now here is a surprise. This, the third generation of Harry Weisfeld’s “Scout” series, borders on greatness! In its first form, it was certainly the best buy among American LP playback devices. And if you consider what you will get for extra money in this hot-rod version, the “Super” makes a fine long term investment!” — Absolute Sound Editor’s Choice Award Winner, Issue 150.
We would be happy to assist you with best pricing and phono cartridge recommendations.

For over 30 years, Rega has been the first name on everyone's lips when it comes to turntables. With the Rega P1 turntable, Rega legendary quality is now available at the lowest price ever. (LP Tunes makes the Rega P1 turntable even better. See details below.)
And it's plug and play as one can get with a turntable.
The first new addition to the Planar range of turntables for some time, we hope youll agree its worth the wait. In Stereophile Vol 30 No.5 May, 2007, Art Dudley had many positive things to say about the Rega P1 turntable. Here are some excerpts.
"As for most other LPs I tried, the Rega P1 didn't just do an adequate job with musical basics it nailed them."
"The Rega P1 marks the first time in my experience that a designer whose work ranks with the very best has created an audio component this affordable. And by affordable I don't mean realtively affordable, as with our favorite entry-level Koetsus, entry-level Wilsons, and even entry-level Linns. I mean affordable as in cheap, as in sane, as in reachable by anyone with a job."
"Very strongly recommended."
Featuring a completely new tonearm the RB100, this entry-level model comes ready-fitted with a phono cartridge, proving once more that you dont need to be wealthy to afford a high fidelity record player.
The completely British-made Rega P1 turntable features:
- brand new Rega RB100 tonearm
- high quality main bearing, sub-platter assembly and stabilized MDF platter for excellent speed stability
- 12v AC synchronous motor with belt drive
- Ortofon OM5E phono cartridge factory mounted and aligned
- Did we say it's made in England?
- About as plug and play as you can get
- Rega sound quality at an unrivalled price!
Rega P1 Improvements available only from LP Tunes
- Improved replacement Stylus 10 by LP Gear elevates sound quality thus rendering a naturally rich and colorful musical pallete, better resolution, dynamics, rhythmic rightness, better dimensional and palpable portrayal of music and more solid bass. We provide the LP Gear Stylus 10 Improved for you to replace the installed regular stylus.
- Ortofon Stylus Force Gauge so you can set the tracking force with precision. The Rega RB100 tonearm lacks a measurment ring or scale to indicate the tracking force when you turn the counterweight.
A simple touch of a button starts your musical enjoyment
The Denon DP-29F turntable has been designed to give you musical enjoyment out of your valuable collection of LP records. The DP-29F features an automatic system that starts the music at the simple touch of a button, and when the music stops, the tone arm automatically returns to its original position and the turntable stops rotating. The DP-29F also includes a PHONO (MM) equalizer, enabling you to connect the turntable directly to an integrated amp that does not have a PHONO equalizer.
The turntable has been precision manufactured with a rigid diecast aluminium to produce uniform inertial mass for perfectly stable turntable rotation, an essential component of high fidelity sound during playback.
The DP-29F employs an automated system that starts playing the record with the single touch of a button and finishes play at the end of the record by returning the tone arm to its original position and stopping turntable rotation. This system ensures that you do not inadvertently scratch your records when you play them.
The Denon DP-29F turntable includes a built-in switchable on/off PHONO equalizer so you can connect the unit to an integrated amp that does not have its own phono preamp.
The Denon DP-29F turntable comes complete with a MM cartridge factory installed so that you can begin to enjoy your LP record collection as soon as you connect the DP-29F to your home hi-fi system.
To further improve fidelity and sound quality for your listening enjoyment or recording, we provide with your purchase our DSN-82 Improved stylus that you can install at your liesure.

The new Music Hall MMF-2.2 MMF2.2 turntable offers several enhancements over the Music Hall MMF-2.1 by including the tonearm from the MMF5, new vibration damping feet and a lower resonant platform. It also now comes in georgeous gloss black to match the rest of the MMF line.
The Music Hall MMF-2.2 MMF2.2 is a complete turntable system including tonearm with the Music Hall Tracker cartridge mounted at the factory. At $449.00, it has no peer and is the best value audiophile quality turntable available in the market. Minimal set-up is required. In about 20 minutes you should be able to start listening to your records. The illustrated instructions are simple, clear and easy-to-follow.
It sounds quite good right out of the box. Its has a bit of brashness and sibilance that can be sometimes annoying. Also, it may lack verve and clarity. The LP Gear Rx9HE stylus overcomes these issues and lifts performance to a higher level of discernment. The LP Gear Rx9HE stylus offers a natural and refined tonal balance with vivid and graceful detail--music you can listen to forhours and hours.
The Music Hall MMF-2.2 turntable is a 2-speed (33 1/3 & 45 RPM) belt drive design of sheer simplicity. Bereft of adornment, its engineering is focused on critical componentsthe bearing, motor, tonearm, and isolation. It is a complete turnkey turntable system that can be easily assembled within 20 minutes. It is easy to own, operate and maintain so you can focus on playing your records and listening to music. It has the following distinctive qualities:
-
The bearing is made from high quality, stainless steel sheathed in a bronze fitting. A Teflon thrust plate ensures a fluid and noise free operation. The bearing assembly comes pre-charged with lubricant.
-
The 2-speed high-torque, AC-synchronous motor is decoupled from the turntable by a rubber spring suspension and four rubber dampers thus minimizing vibration.
-
A rubber drive belt connects the motor to the non-resonant polymer sub platter.
-
Precision high quality one piece alloy tonearm for structural integrity and superb tracing ability.
-

A Stereophile Recommended Component
for many years
A remarkably musical turntable
A Stereophile magazine recommended component for many years and highly rated by many audio publications including The Absolute Sound, the Music Hall MMF-5 turntable is a complete 2-speed (33 and 45 rpm) turntable system with a glass platter, felt mat, high grade tonearm, Goldring G1012 moving magnet cartridge (a $225.00 value), dual plinth arrangement, metal screw-on record clamp, round spirit level, spare belt and 45 rpm adapter. At only $629.00, it is considered by many to have no peer within its price range. There are also others who would call the MMF-5 turntable downright sensational.
Consider this belt drive turntable's many singular features.
Two-Plinth Design
It has an original and unique 2-plinth design
with six rubber springs separating the bottom platform from the top. This gives
the turntable an extra level of isolation.
The compliant feet, 2-speed synchronous motor, switch, wiring and electrical
parts are on the bottom plinth while the critical sound reproducing components,
the bearing, arm and cartridge are mounted on the top platform.
Glass Platter & Precision Bearing
The low-resonance glass platter and felt mat sit on a high quality, stainless
steel ball bearing sheathed in Teflon providing fluid and noise-free operation.
The bearing assembly comes pre-charged with lubricant. A metal screw-on record
clamp is standard equipment as is the round spirit level.
The Tonearm
The effective length of the tone arm is nine and a half inches. This allows for
a very shallow tracking arc on the record thus reducing distortion.
The Cartridge
The tonearm
comes fitted with a high quality Goldring G1012 moving magnet cartridge (a
$225.00 value).
Plug and Play
The Music Hall MMF-5 turntable is easy to assemble and comes with an excellent instruction
manual. The arm and cartridge are pre-mounted so all you need to do is set the
tracking force and anti-skating as you would with any initial set-up.
