LP Tunes Nagaoka MP500 (MP-500) Pre-mount

I bought the pre-mounted Mp500 and WOW right out of the box it sounded great. VTA is adjusted top of cartridge plane with record down force 1.56 grams. But after about 20 to 30 hours the sound stage became so much better. I am re discovering my record collection. I liked the ortofon 2M Black too but this is my preferred cartridge. I listen to Rock, chamber music and full orchestra, all are sounding great to my ears.

As posted by a previous reviewer, I found that the headshell is angled a bit uphill, so I had to compensate by raising the tail of my SME tonearm a bit. With just a touch of twist of the cartridge, it lined right up on the protractor and cartridge tracking is excellent. Sonics of the MP-500 thus far are excellent.
