-Musical excellence with a great balance of dynamics, natural harmonics and detail retrieval.

One of the finest cartridges ever made for the money and still in current US production, the Audio-Technica AT-OC9ML/II phono cartridge is also one of the most desirable cartridges in the world. Its musical excellence defies competition and transcends time. Its timeless quality of musical eloquence and over achievement make it a classic to be cherished and enjoyed for years and decades. It is also reliable and superbly crafted. That's why it received the Soundstage Award for Exceptional Value. To summarize its performance one review stated:

" The AT-OC9ML/II sets a standard that will be hard for any cartridge, moving magnet or moving coil, to match at its price."

At LP TUNES's special sale price which is less than half of retail it is an absolute steal! It is manufactured extremely well and is very reliable. Its performance is both world class and top class.

The Audio-Technica AT-OC9ML/II is a significant achievement in precision manufacturing with tolerances held to mere thousands of an inch. Stringent quality control assures that these tolerances, as well as performance criteria, are maintained by every Audio-Technica AT-OC9ML/II phono cartridge.

The Audio-Technica AT-OC9ML/II phono cartridge is the second generation of the highly acclaimed model. A brand new design with a gold-plated boron cantilever and MicroLine diamond tip, the Audio-Technica AT-OC9ML/II has received many accolades from music listeners and audiophiles. Moving coil cartridges are preferred by many serious audiophiles, citing clarity and transparency of tone, better defined transients, precise stereo imaging and lower distortion as reasons for their preference.

The little stylus that could..and then some!

When I got this I thought I had overspent and had just paid 150 bucks for the 70 dollar model with a stylus guard. I was hoping for the best, expecting mehh, and got the closest to sonic nirvana I've yet to experience! I am simply a music lover, I haven't the experience or the budget to be an audiophile , but wow this little cartridge can sing! I have the carbon fidelity, the nss divine, this is noticeably better even to my untrained ears. If you are using the at3600 cartridge, strongly consider this stylus before you change to a different cartridge. It really is that good!

Turntable belt fits perfectly as described!

Soundesign stylus Mdel 6821

Stylus fit, the weight was light i ended up having to use a similar stylus that was heavier and for an Emerson.
The lighter stylus allowed the arm to float across the album.

D51 type stylus works fine

Looks & Sounds like the Original

Arrived well packed although I was concerned that it didn’t have the little cover over the needle that a new stylus often has. But once installed it sounded good!

Thorens Replacement Belt

Belt is more robust than old belt. Highly recommended.

Giant Killer

If you have an OM body, base or Super, you owe it to yourself to get this stylus. It plays WAY above its price range! I am still breaking it in, but wow! On new vinyl it is dead quiet. No pops, background noise or hisses. Plays music from top to bottom without me missing any midrange.
I have 3 different versions of these, shure n75ed2, at 3600l, now this ortofon version which could become my favorite. Buy these and get a good phono stage ( I am using an old nad 7140) and stop worrying about expensive cartridges! An absolute jem!
