SHURE STYLUS FORCE GAUGE SFG-2

The Shure SFG-2 stylus force gauge is an industry standard and comes complete with storage box and easy-to-understand instructions. A proper set stylus tracking force is essential to sound quality, groove tracking, music retrieval, record care and stylus longevity. The Shure stylus Force Gauge let's you set and apply the vertical tracking force of your cartridge according to its recommended specification. The tracking force is measured with the tonearm in actual playing position.

Sure, those Chinese digital stylus pressure gauges are cheaper. But are they accurate? Especially since the calibration weight is so at variance with the tracking spec of your high quality cartridge? I'm a mechanical engineer and I understand exactly how this works. It's similar to my DIY from 1971. But more flexible. It has the Shure name on it. Nothing confusing about the instructions, either. And LPTunes has the best price I could find. Sold!
