Awesome Cartridge!

Because of the price, I looked at the MP-200 as out of reach. So I sold a bunch of stereo gear that I hadn’t used in years and bought the Nagaoka MP-200. Now I’m kicking myself for having waited so long to purchase one. I’m hearing details and harmonies in my LPs that I have never heard before. I’ve had other cartridges with fancy line contact stylus and yet the MP-200 still gets more details from my records. Note it took several attempts to get the MP-200 properly aligned on my turntable (Music Hall MMF 1.5). It was well worth the extra effort to get it aligned right. Once the cartridge was locked into proper alignment, the music just bloomed. But the alignment must be spot-on to get great results. If you’ve never installed and aligned an aftermarket phono cartridge before, recommend having it done for a pro-shop. Happy listening!

Empire S44E Stylus

I will admit to being somewhat disappointed when I opened the box and found a plain black stylus instead of the cool looking see-through candy colored stylus pictured. I understand that they covered themselves with the "color of the stylus varies" statement, but I guess I assumed it would be an actual color, rather than black. Aesthetics aside, delivery was on time, actually sooner than I expected, it was well packaged, and sounds great, so the important things were on the money. I deducted 1 star for the color thing--maybe that's being picky, but it's how I feel. But as I said, service, delivery, and product quality were on point.

Hello, I have a 1969 Gerrard SL95-B turntable wood base which I can stack 5 LP's. This needle replacement SHURE N-75EJ/ 2. What I enjoy about this needle it does not bend, after the tone arm is on top of 5 records the needle keeps it's position and doesn't bend . The quality sound is great. I have spent alot of money on other needles that the sound isn't clean and wears out very fast. I play my music records daily for hours.

It was easy to install and sounds great!

A Must Upgrade

I've purchased this stylus and I have been listening for about a month now. My first impressions was "wow!" The original stylus that I had wasn't actually shot but just thought maybe it time to replace it just because, and I'm glad I did. By replacing with the new stylus I was able to hear things that I've never knew it exist from some tracks. It's more crisp, clarity, and detailed. This vintage Stanton 681eee with this new shibata stylus are a great sound piece. I just sure hope this item won't be discontinued or else I'll be sad. Cheers!
