78 RPM STYLUS FOR TEAC GF-550 GF 550 GF550 TURNTABLE

The Teac GF-550 GF 550 GF550 turntable was fitted with a Teac needle stylus. A photo of the stylus replacement is supplied above. The stylus features a 3.0 mil polished diamond for long playing life and correct tracing of 78 RPM record grooves. It offers minimal groove wear and accurate rendition of voice and music. The color of the stylus varies. Please verify and use this as a guide only since the cartridge and stylus may have been changed through the years.

To maintain the playback fidelity of your 78 record you really need to use a stylus designed for 78 RPM records. A very common misconception is that you can use a SL stylus for playing 78 records. This is one quick and sure way to damage the 78 record grooves. Moreover, the SL stylus is much narrower than the 78 record groove, hence the tip will slide to the bottom of the groove where debris has collected for many decades, resulting in extraordinarily high surface noise.

If the stylus above differs from what you have, then it means you no longer have the fitted cartridge. For us to assist you further, we need the cartridge brand and model number. This info is usually inscribed on the cartridge and stylus.

Replacement for JVC DT-Z1EB DTZ1EB stylus

Those belts were tight man ! )

As advertised

My turntable seemed sufficient, but old and had a low level constant buzz (grounding). I read reviews for the LP Gear with the Vessel A3SE cartridge and decided to go for it. Some assembly is required and instructions seemed somewhat ambiguous and can be worked through with common sense. The result is a phenomenal difference in listening quality. I was concerned that some of my records might have been damaged beyond reasonable reproduction. Not so! I am now enjoying both new and old platters with spectacular sound reproduction. I am very happy with this new LP Gear turntable.

Stellar Clarity

I bought my turntable used several years ago and felt it was time to replace the stylus. I had no Idea how late I was to that party! This new stylus brings a clarity and lack of sibilance I was unaware was there! I guess I just got used to it. Farrah was an absolute pleasure to speak with and I will nothesitate to use the LP folks anytime I need something audio. The price is awesome also!!
