GRADO THE REFERENCE 1 PHONO CARTRIDGE

Ships to US only

Grado's Reference1 cartridge is a fixed coil design, handcrafted at Grado Labs from specially selected species of mahogany. Unlike the Grado Prestige series, the Grado Reference cartridges have a generator/stylus module that is not replaceable thus allowing a redesigned one-piece magnetic circuit and a reduction of chassis resonances. The Grado Reference1 phono cartridges utilize manufacturing and assembly techniques of superlative accuracy and precision. The result is virtual perfection - the finest phono cartridges in the world! To hear the celestial performance of the Grado Reference cartridges, we recommend that they be used with the finest equipment.

The Grado The Reference phono cartridge features a specially designed nude elliptical diamond mounted on a brass bushing and a modified five-piece OTL cantilever technology achieving an additional 5% tip mass reduction over the Grado Reference Platinum and Grado Reference Sonata phono cartridges. The coils are wound with ultra-high purity long crystal oxygen free copper wire.

Stylus for Pickering XV-15/1200E cartridge
James Nyburg (Cleveland, US)
Pickering XV-15 1200E Stylus used in a 625E body

My stylus purchase came in this afternoon, inspected the stylus under a USB microscope, great stylus tip! I swapped the brush with the original Pickering brush. I had been listening to the OE Pickering 625E stylus just before the 1200E install. The OEM gave a very good full sound , the 1200E is that and so much more. More dynamic and detailed, clean sounding, a very worthwhile upgrade!

Not too shabby

They did everything pretty good. Not much to complain about. The only downsides to my experience were not really in their control and they were the long shipping time, due to me being in Australia and the price of the stylus, which got a little pricey due to to shipping costs and exchange rates.

Value for Money & Honest Sounding

the Jico arrived, and I'm only about six albums in, but it is a vast improvement. For the money - I say it's great sounding, wide soundstage, nothing glassy or brassy sounding. It's on a Thorens TD160, and sure, there are much higher end stylus' that can be used, but this was a direct replacement for my Shure N95-ED cartridge.

Excellent Service

Very pleased with product and price. Fast shipping.
